The V-Neck Gown in black embroidered lace is from look 50 of Balenciaga's Winter 23 Collection. It is made in France.
The V-Neck Gown is a maxi-length, long-sleeved, semi-sheer dress made entirely of sequined and beaded lace.
The lace was woven on centuries-old looms in Caudry, in the north of France. It was then hand-embroidered in India.
The irregular, handkerchief-style hem follows the edge of the original lace. The designer worked around the floral pattern out of respect for the delicate fabric.
The dress comes with a knotted satin belt, adjustable at the front with three rows of hooks and eyes. A godet is attached to the lower back, ending in a train.
