Qixi Series

Starting on July 8th, 2024, Balenciaga launches an exclusive series of products and a dedicated campaign celebrating Qixi Festival this year. The series is available in Balenciaga stores throughout China and on balenciaga.cn.

The series consists of denim jackets, shorts, miniskirts, and pants in all-over graffitied peach pit black or dirty cream, as well as signature fit T-shirts and hoodies in black or pink, decorated with a hand-drawn heart design in white or red. Classic Balenciaga accessories including the Fluffy Slide, the Explorer Backpack, Le City Bag, and the Monaco Bag are reimagined in exclusive colorways and materials such as lavender stuffed nylon and bleach-graffitied black industrial nylon.

The campaign, photographed by Leon Eckert in Shanghai, shows couples Fei and Yi Xiangyu, Jiji and Ai, and Che Che and Li Jiage posing in a restaurant, on a sidewalk, at a botanical garden, and waiting for public transportation, wearing items from the series. In still life photos, accessories are hung and set down in public places, seemingly discarded.
