The Balenciaga Hampton Bag launches worldwide on December 20th, 2024. Following the lead of the Rodeo and Bel Air lines, the Hampton is named for another American enclave, on the manicured edge of New York’s Long Island. It will be available in Balenciaga stores and on balenciaga.com.
This sophisticated new line features a structured, glossy box calf leather exterior, complemented by a soft, aged Nappa lining. On the bag’s decorative front flap, edge-stitched cutouts and rounded openings frame the handles, subtly echoing the Bel Air line’s signature detailing.
Beyond its hand-carry option, a flat leather strap can be attached on either side for cross-body or shoulder wear, with the strap’s length adjustable by knotting. Its double and triple-ply leather panels are meticulously bonded along folds and seams, allowing the bag to endure as an heirloom, and develop a unique patina over time through affectionate wear.
Expansive side panels secured with snaps can either extend outward or fold inward, to adjust the carrying capacity. The concealed magnetic fastening provides a discreet closure, and a zippered inner pocket keeps smaller items organised. Minimal gold-stamped branding adorns the front, complementing the logo-engraved gold-tone split keyrings housed in the clochette, and the matching gold-tone side snaps.
