Mina

The Balenciaga Music | Mina series includes limited-edition eyewear and T-shirts, available in selected Balenciaga stores worldwide and via balenciaga.com. A pair of sunglasses designed by Demna are a continuous, black-tinted lens inspired by Mina’s signature eye makeup and lasered with her autograph on the inside of one temple, alongside an exclusive QR code that unlocks “L’Amore Vero.” The T-shirt is printed with Mina’s visage and a list of her 106 albums. Its tag is embedded with an NFC (Near Field Communication) chip that, when activated by a compatible device, also reveals the new track.
This method of exclusively premiering a song to individuals via chip or code was developed by Balenciaga as an entirely unique form of music merch interaction. The House continues to innovate in the areas of technology, product design, and artist collaboration, allowing these interests to inform one another.
Within a dedicated campaign promoting the collaboration, models wear Balenciaga Music | Mina merch while affecting Mina’s distinctive aesthetic; a video clip teases a few seconds of “L’Amore Vero,” the first single from her soon-to-be-released album.
The Balenciaga Music I Mina Series marks the first time Mina has officially collaborated with a fashion house, after over 40 years of continuous music and artwork production. A bona fide star and style icon, Mina has set multiple records with a groundbreaking career that started in the 1960s. Since then, she has published 1,395 songs in nine languages and become a strong cultural influence in Italy as well as internationally.
